A Living History art project featuring elders from Acworth and Marietta, Ga.
Teresa, an award winning ceramics and glass artist has work in galleries around Cobb County. Phillis is currently showing her Colored Pencil Drawings in Acworth at The Theater on Main, in Kennesaw at The Harmony House and will soon have her art in a few more galleries in Cobb County. Both artists have judged Georgia Public School's Reflections Children's Art Program in Cobb and Cherokee Counties.
Beginning in August, 2008, Phillis and Teresa will be offering classes at The Harmony House in Kennesaw. This wonderful studio run by Ms Heidi Truitt now offers art lessons along with music and drama lessons to children and adults.
Teresa and Phillis have spent several years instructing children and adults in art in the form of Colored Pencil, Drawing, Crafts, Clay and Fused Glass for Cobb County Parks and Recreation, several Homeschool Enrichment programs and for private organizations for children to seniors. Formerly of Artfaire Galleries and Instructional Studios, Teresa and Phillis developed "Artfaire on Wheels" an early mobile art instruction program servicing daycare centers, afterschool programs and scout troups in Cobb and Cherokee Counties. They also created themed Art Camps that are widely sought after by daycare centers. Their experience, abilities to create instructional and entertaining programs to suit all art needs have kept these two very creative artists very busy.
